Weekly BEST: Redemption Art

Happy New Year!  I hope you rang in the new decade in style!  The Elle's Beads Blog is starting 2011 with a BESTeam feature for your shopping pleasure.  This week is not special for the Weekly BEST segment just because it is the first post of the new year; it's also special because this is the first time I can remember that the Weekly BEST feature has focused on a crafter that also sells vintage items!  Redemption Art on Etsy features a wonderful mix of handmade, vintage, and upcycled items.  The owner/artist, Connie, hails from Volcano, Hawaii and has enjoyed embracing her creative side now that she's out of the corporate grind.  Connie's guarantee to all who enter her shop is that inside they will find a beautiful blend of Hawaiian diversity and a strong sense of the Aloha spirit.  I certainly feel her shop meets those high standards.  Check out my favorite pieces below:

Vintage Hawaiian Mermaid Tiki Bar Glasses Fisherman's Wharf Hawaii

Artsy Coconut Girl Hand Made Earrings

Vintage Hawaiian Pua'a (piggy) Banks
Vintage Hawaiian Pua'a Banks $8.00

OOAK Pen in a SAKE BOTTLE
OOAK Pen in a Sake Bottle $10.00

The pen in a sake bottle is best appreciated when you look at all five of the pictures provided in the listing.  What an original, unexpected gift for someone who loves Japanese wine!

Be sure to check out the shop and leave a comment letting us know what item is your favorite!

Until next time,
Elle

I'm a part of an Etsy team called Boosting Etsy Shops Team or BEST. The purpose of the group is to provide promotion for each team member through our existing social networking accounts. Each week I'll be doing a blog feature about a different team member.
